Right inferior nasal concha (Concha nasalis inferior)
Educational content only — not medical advice.
Anatomy
A curved lamina projecting down and inward from the lateral wall of the right nasal cavity — independent of the ethmoid (which carries the middle and superior conchae); it expands the mucosal surface for warming and humidifying inhaled air.
Clinical notes
Chronic inferior turbinate hypertrophy in allergy and sinusitis blocks the airway and is treated medically or by surface reduction; partial resection is balanced against dryness and crusting risk.
