Anatomy
The right testis is the paired gonad producing male gametes and androgens in the right scrotal sac. Maintained at a temperature 2–3 degrees Celsius below core body temperature by the pampiniform venous countercurrent heat exchanger.
Clinical notes
Testicular germ cell tumors (seminoma and non-seminoma) represent the most common malignancy in young men (ages 15–35), typically presenting as a painless firm testicular mass.
